Selecting the operating mode
♦ While the device is switched on, press the /SOURCE button 0 until the
desired mode is shown on the display
:
– "Cd" for CD playback
– "FM" and the frequency for radio playback
– "AUX" for playback from an external device connected to the AUX IN
input
Volume/bass
♦ Turn the −VOL+/ І◄◄ TUNE ►►І dial to the right to increase the volume
or to the left to decrease the volume. The set volume will be shown on the
display
as a value between "L00" (mute) and "L25" (maximum volume).
♦ Press the XBASS button
button to turn up the bass. If this function is
activated, "XBASS" is shown on the display
.
NOTE
► In AUX mode you can also set the volume on the external device if this is
connected to the CD clock radio via the AUX IN input .
► Reduce the volume on the external device if the playback sounds distorted.
Charging external devices
The CD clock radio has a charging function which you can use to charge the bat-
teries of devices that are usually charged via a USB connection. The maximum
charging current is 1.0 A.
NOTE
► The USB connection
3 is exclusively for charging external devices.
► The CD clock radio must be connected to the mains in order to charge
external devices.
► You can purchase a suitable USB charging cable (not supplied) in any
consumer electronics shop.
♦ Insert the USB-A connector on the USB charging cable into the USB connec-
tion
3 on the CD clock radio.
♦ Insert the other USB connector on the USB charging cable into the USB
connection on the external device.
♦ The external device will start charging after a few seconds. During this, the
CD clock radio can be switched on or in standby mode.
♦ After charging the external device, pull the USB charging cable out of the
USB connection
3 to disconnect the devices from each other.
