Display lighting
♦ You can set the brightness of the LED display  in three stages. Press the
SNOOZE/DIMMER button
 to increase or decrease the brightness of
the display
in stages.
– The brightness remains at the currently selected level except for between
the hours of 11 pm and 5 am (night mode).
– When the device is switched on, the brightest mode is always used.
– After switching off the device, the display is automatically set to the
lowest brightness after 10 seconds. The display
 is restored to the
brightest level for 10 seconds every time a button is pressed.
NOTE
► In standby mode the display
 is automatically dimmed during the period
from 11 pm to 5 am (night mode). Permanent illumination is not possible in
standby mode during this time.
Sleep function
You can use this function to automatically switch the device off after 15–
90 minutes.
♦ During radio or CD playback, press the SLEEP/NAP button
- briefly.
"ZZZ" and "15" (minutes) appear on the display
.
♦ Press the SLEEP/NAP button
- repeatedly to set the SLEEP time (15, 30,
45, 60, 90, OFF).
The sleep function is activated after around 5 seconds if no other button is
pressed. As long as the sleep function is activated, "ZZZ" appears on the
display
.
♦ Press the SLEEP/NAP button
- once while the function is activated to
show the remaining time until the device is switched off.
♦ To deactivate the function, press the SLEEP/NAP button
- until "OFF"
appears on the display
or switch off the device.
NOTE
► If, during CD playback, the CD playback time is less than the set SLEEP
time, the playback is stopped at the end of the CD.
