10. Using the device for the fi rst time
When using the device for the first time, the radio starts in DAB+ mode
with a station search. The date and time are set automatically. The dis-
play language is set to English by default.
10.1. Switching the device on/off
When operating the device using the mains adapter, press the
button briefly to switch on the device.
When operating the device using the battery, press and hold the
button for at least 2 seconds to switch on the device.
To switch the device to standby mode, press and hold the
button
until switch off is shown on the display.
During mains operation, the time is also displayed when the
device is switched off. During battery operation, the device
automatically switches itself off from standby mode.
10.2. Adjusting the aerial
Pull out the telescopic aerial on the back of the device completely.
The aerial should be fully extended to ensure good signal re-
ception and sound quality. When adjusting the telescopic
aerial, the stations may have to be searched again (see sec-
tion „14. Radio mode“).
11. Setting the time
When the device is used for the first time, it performs an automatic sta-
tion search in the DAB+ reception frequency range. The date and time
are set automatically as part of this process. If the device is reset to the
factory settings, all data is deleted and the time can be set manually:
Press and hold the
MENU/INFO/ button until the menu is
shown on the display.
Press the
/ button or turn the controller to select <System>.
