9.3 Inserting/replacing the
filter
Your espresso machine comes with two fil-
ters:
Observe the following markings when in-
serting:
-Both filters1/2 have a notch21 in the
upper edge and a nub20 underneath.
The filter2 has a second nub on the op-
posite side so that it does not fall out of
the portafilter19.
- There is a notch18 in the edge of the
portafilter19.
1. Select the desired filter1 or2.
2. Insert the filter1/2 in an inclined man-
ner into the portafilter19 so that the
notch21 and the notch18 are on top
of each other. Press the filter down and
turn it a little in the portafilter so that it
cannot fall out.
NOTE: as the filter1 has only one nub20,
it can also be inserted straight into the por-
tafilter19.
To remove the filter

The filter can be removed in this position.
9.4 Inserting/removing the
portafilter
Inserting:
1. Insert the portafilter19 with the handle
at the symbol 16.
2. Turn the handle of the portafilter19 to
the right as far as the symbol 15.
