After every espresso
1. Remove the portafilter19 from the
brewing head13.
2. Knock the espresso powder out of the
filter1/2 and dispose of it in an organ-
ic waste bin. If necessary, you can re-
move residues with a teaspoon.
3. Rinse the filter1/2 and the portafil-
ter19 under hot water and then dry
them.
After frothing milk
NOTE: always ensure that the opening of
the steam nozzle8 remains clean. Remain-
ing milk residue is not only unhygienic. It
can also quickly clog the small opening.
1. Wipe the steam nozzle8 with a clean
cloth to remove any milk residue.
2. Turn the dial5 slowly in the direction of
the symbol until steam comes out.
This removes milk residues from inside
the steam nozzle.
Drip tray
The drip tray12 must be emptied before the
float11 protrudes upwards through the
small round hole in the drip grid14. In any
case, you should clean the drip tray once a
day.
1. Remove the drip grid14.
2. Lift the drip tray12 upwards and out.
3. Empty and clean these accessories by
hand with mild detergent or in the dish-
washer.
4. Dry all parts before reinserting them.
