Maintenance Features

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and performance of the sewing machine:

  • Cleaning:
    • Feed Dog: The bobbin case can be removed, and the feed dog area cleaned with the supplied brush (n).
    • Catch (Shuttle Race): The bobbin case, catch retaining arms (C), shuttle race cover (D), and catch (E) can be removed for cleaning with a soft cloth. Fabric fluff and threads should be removed regularly.
  • Lubrication: Specific points (F) in the catch area should be lubricated with 1-2 drops of sewing machine oil. Only good quality sewing machine oil should be used.
  • Bulb Replacement: The sewing light bulb (C) can be replaced by loosening a screw (A) and removing the cover (B). The replacement bulb must be of the same type and rated at 15 watts (220-240V).
  • Needle Replacement: Needles should be changed regularly, especially at the first signs of sewing problems.
  • Storage: When not in use, the power plug should be removed. The machine should be stored in a dry location, inaccessible to children, and protected from dust, dirt, or moisture using the provided dust cover (s). The transport packaging should be kept for potential future repairs or storage.
