o Use the spoon [8] to remove the rice. Use
of other utensils may damage the anti-stick
coating on the cooking pot
[].
o Do not keep the cooked rice warm in the
product for more than 2 hours.
o Example - cooking brown rice
Cooking brown rice solely will have very
strong boiling effect and water overflowing
may happen.
To cook brown rice steadily, we suggest to
mix brown rice with white rice in a ratio of
1:2 or 2:3.
Preparing rice
1. Press the release button [5] and lift the lid [1]
up.
2. Remove the cooking pot
[].
3. Measure the desired quantity of rice using the
measuring cup
[9] (fig.C).
4. Thoroughly wash the rice to remove debris
and the surface starch to avoid the rice getting
gummy.
5. Drain the washed rice. Pour rice into the
cooking pot
[].
6. Add water up to the corresponding CUP
markings on the inside of the cooking pot
[]:
Rice Water
2 measuring cups
Cup marking 2
3 measuring cups
Cup marking 3
4 measuring cups
Cup marking 4
5 measuring cups
Cup marking 5
7. Place the cooking pot
[] into the main unit [].
Make sure that the cooking pot is not skewed
or tilted.
8. Close the lid
[1]. Press the cooking button [4]
down.
The yellow indicator
[3] goes out.
The red indicator
[2] lights up.
9. When the rice is cooked, the cooking
button
[4] automatically pops up.
The red indicator
[2] goes out.
The yellow indicator
[3] lights up.
10. Wait for 5 minutes before opening the lid
[1].
Serve the rice.
11. Set the on/off switch
[] to O.
12. Disconnect the mains plug
[] from the socket-
outlet.
13. Disconnect the detachable mains cord
[] from
the main unit
[].
NOTE: Always fill the cooking pot []
between the CUP markings 2 and 5 on the
cooking pot’s inside.
Preparing pretreated rice
Pretreated rice, such as “Quick cook rice”, requires
a shorter cooking time.
1. Press the release button
[5] and lift the lid [1]
up.
2. Remove the cooking pot
[].
3. Measure the desired quantity of rice using the
measuring cup
[9] (fig. C).
4. Pour rice and the amount of water specified on
the rice packaging into the cooking pot
[].
5. Place the cooking pot
[] into the main unit [].
Make sure that the cooking pot is not skewed
or tilted.
6. Close the lid
[1] and press the cooking
button
[4] down.
The yellow indicator
[3] goes out.
The red indicator
[2] lights up.
7. When the rice is cooked, the cooking
button
[4] automatically pops up.
The red indicator
[2] goes out.
The yellow indicator
[3] lights up.
8. Wait for 5 minutes before opening the lid
[1].
Serve the rice.
9. Set the on/off switch
[] to O.
10. Disconnect the mains plug
[] from the socket-
outlet.

NOTES:
o Some types of easy-cook rice still have to swell
after cooking.
o Always follow the preparation instructions on
the rice packaging.
o Always fill the cooking pot [] between the
CUP markings 2 and 5 on the cooking pot’s
inside.
