Intended Use (See Fig. I)
Thisharnessisdesignedforuseinafallarrestsystem,where,whenusedin
combinationwithasuitablelanyard,shockabsorberandanchorage,itpreventsthe
user from going into a free fall.
Usage Limitations
WARNING: ThisharnessMUSTNOTbeusedasaworkpositioning,restraintor
rescuesystemasdescribedinEN363.
WARNING: FallarrestgearisdesignedtoarrestafallfromheightONLYONCE!If
subjectedtoanarrestedfall,thegearmustbewithdrawnfromserviceandrendered
unusable.
• Thisequipmentisdesignedforusebyonepersonwithacombinedtotalweightno
greaterthan140kg,includingclothing,tools,andotheruser-borneobjects
• Acidic,alkaline,orotherenvironmentswithharshsubstances,maydamagethe
equipment. DO NOT expose to corrosive environments for prolonged periods of
time.Organicsubstancesandsaltwaterareparticularlycorrosivetometalparts
• DONOTuseinenvironmentswithtemperatureslowerthan-40°Corgreaterthan
80°C
• Avoidcontactwithrough,abrasivesurface,sharpedges,cuttingtoolsetc.
• Equipmentmustbeshieldedwhenusednearwelding,metalcutting,orother
activities that produce large amounts of heat
• UseextremeCAUTIONwhenworkingnearenergisedelectricalsources.Metal
hardwareconductselectriccurrent.Maintainasafeworkingdistance(atleast3m)
from all electrical hazards
• Afullbodyharnessistheonlyacceptablebodyholdingdevicethatcanbeusedin
afallarrestsystem
Unpacking your Product
• Carefullyunpackandinspectyourproduct.Fullyfamiliariseyourselfwithallits
features and functions
• Ensureallpartsoftheproductarepresentandingoodcondition.Ifanyparts
aremissingordamaged,havesuchpartsreplacedbeforeattemptingtousethis
product
Before Use
Pre-use checks
• Avisualandtactile(i.e.bysenseoftouch)inspectionmustbecarriedoutbefore
everyuse.Allpartsofthegearmustbeinspectedinanareawithappropriatelight
conditions
1.Slowlypasswebbing,beltorropethroughyourhandstodetectsmallcutsof1mm
ormoreinmaterialedges,abrasionsandtwistdamage.Feelforsofteningand
hardeningofbresandlookforingressofcontaminants
2. Inspect all stitching for visual damage
3.Checkallhardwareandconnectorsfordamageandconrmfunctionality.Conrm
safetydevices(suchasgatesonkarabinersetc)arefunctioningproperly

Fitting and adjustment
• Preparation (see Image A):
1.Identifyallpartsandstraps(see‘ProductFamiliarisation’)
2.OpenandreleasetheChestBuckle(4)andbothLegStrapBuckles(6)
Note: Loosenallthree-barslideandsquarelinktypeconnectionsfully,inorderto
retightenduringtting.
3.LifttheharnessontheD-ringoftheDorsalAttachmentPoint(A)(7),andensureall
straps are hanging straight
• Fitting shoulder and chest (see Image B and C):
1.FittheShoulderStraps(1)oftheharnessoveryourshoulders
2.PlaceyourarmsthroughtheShoulderStraps,sotheDorsalAttachmentPoint(A)(7)
islocatedontheback
Note: Ensuretheharnessisnottwisted‘insideout’,bycheckingthattheD-ringofthe
DorsalAttachmentPoint(A)(7)islocatedoutermost.
3.ClosetheChestStrap(2)byinsertingthemaleendintothefemaleconnector,and
adjustbypullingorreleasingtheopenendofthewebbingmaterial
4.AdjusttheChestStrapSliders(3)upordowntheharness
Note: TheChestStrapmustrunsquarelyoverthesternum.Itmustnotrundiagonally
or close to the throat region.
Note: TheSternalAttachmentPoint(A/2)(8)mustbeusedwithaD-ringandsuitable
lanyard,shockabsorberandanchorage,asanalternatefallarrestconguration,
dependingonthenatureoftheworkbeingconductedbytheuser.Itisrecommended
aD-ringalwaysbeusedinbothattachmentpointsatalltimes.
• Fitting legs (see Images D - G):
1.Standuprightandstraight,locatetheLegStraps(5)andensuretheyarenot
twisted
2.ReachbehindandpasstherstLegStrapinbetweenyourlegsfrombacktofront
3.FastentheLegStrapBuckle(6),byinsertingthethree-barslidethroughthesquare
link,sobothpartssitatontopofeachotherandinterlock
4. Repeat on the other side
5.AdjusttheLegStrapsbypullingtheendofthewebbingthroughthebeltslider
untilasnugtisachievedandthewebbingmaterialsitscomfortably,ashighas
possible,betweentheinsidelegandgroin.Releaseandreadjustifnecessaryuntil
asafethasbeenachieved
WARNING:CorrectttingoftheLegStraps(5)isofparamountconcernforthe
safeandeffectivefunctionoftheharness.Severeinjurycanoccurduringanarrested
fall,ifthewebbingmaterialistwisted,oriftheLegStrapsarenotadjustedproperly
in the groin region.
Note: Conrmcomfortableyetsnugtoftheharnessbysquattingdownandmoving
yourarmsaboveyourhead.Theusermustbeabletocomfortablymovearoundand
reachtheirworkingposition,withouttheharnessrestrictingmovement.
Connecting to other fall arrest system components
• UsetheDorsalAttachmentPoint(A)(7)toconnecttotheshockabsorberorshock
absorber/lanyardcombinationusingasuitablekarabiner
WARNING: KarabinersandotherconnectorsmustALWAYSbeusedwiththegate
closedandsecurelylocked.Refertotheconnectormanufacturer’sinstructionsfor
vericationandinspectionprocedure.
WARNING: Thetotallengthofalanyardconnectedtoanenergyabsorbershould
NOT exceed 2m.
• UsetheSternalAttachmentPoint(A/2)(8)toconnecttoamobilefallarresterand
otherropeaccesssystemsaccordingtoEN363
