Why Silverline Power Tool drill press will not start?
    • K
      Karen ScottAug 2, 2025
If the Silverline Power Tool drill press won't start, first ensure the mains plug is fully inserted into the socket and the socket is switched on. Also, check if the RCD is fitted and reset/on. Then, check the fuse in the mains plug and replace it if necessary with the same value. Make sure the Pulley Cover is fully closed and securely fastened, and check the safety switch mechanism inside the Pulley Cover for damage. If these steps don't resolve the issue, the On/Off Switch may be faulty, and you should contact your Silverline dealer or an authorized service center.

Why Silverline Power Tool has abnormal or high levels of operating noise?
    • W
      William ParrishAug 13, 2025
Abnormal noise in your Silverline Power Tool can be due to several reasons. The belt tension might be incorrect, so adjust the tension. The spindle may need lubricating; apply grease to the internal spindle between the Chuck and Spindle Pulley. Check the body of the tool and inside the Pulley Cover to ensure all parts are secure and correctly fitted. If the pulley drive belt is worn or damaged, it should be replaced. Contact your Silverline dealer or www.toolsparesonline.com for a replacement belt.
