TheSIMBAX-Pressisaversatileimplement
designed to perform an excellent shallow
cultivation combined with effective
consolidation.
Itcan be used inreduced tillage systems
to incorporate stubble or to work down
ploughingonlightersoiltypes.LikeallSimba
machinesitfeaturesthelatestinnovations
whichcombinetogiveanefcient,well-built
unitwithunrivalledreliability.
Consolidation is key to most operations.
The design of the X-Press ensures that
thisisnotcompromisedduringuse.Thisis
becausethepenetrationofthefrontdiscs
isachievedbyanglingthediscgangsand
not by transferring weight from the rear
rollerontothediscs.Theinlinerearroller
ensuresuniformconsolidationisachieved
acrosstheeld.
TheX-Presscanoperateinsituationswhere
high levelsof surface trash exist. This is
possiblebecauseofthemassiveclearance
withinthemachine.Thefrontandreardisc
gangs are 1050mm (42”) apart and the
distance between the rear gang and the
rollerisanother815mm(33”).
The X-Press is designed for high speed
operationat8-l2kph.Thein-builtweightof
around1tonnepermetreensuresthatthe
desireddepthismaintainedattheoptimal
forwardspeed.
Movement from eld to eld or along the
roadissafeandsimple.TheX-Presswings
foldverticallywhilstthemainframeraises
paralleltothegroundgivingminimalheight
and width for transport.An optional rear
drawbarallowsafollowingimplement(such
asaCambridgeRoll)tobeusedandtowed
intandemwiththeX-Press.
