What to do if my Simer Water Pump motor will not run?
    • C
      Carrie LeonAug 11, 2025
If your Simer Water Pump motor isn't running, consider these potential causes: * Ensure the disconnect switch is turned on. * Check for a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker and replace or reset it. * The starting switch might be defective; disconnect power and replace it. * Wires at the motor could be loose, disconnected, or wired incorrectly. Refer to the wiring instructions and tighten or correct the wiring after disconnecting power. * Dirty pressure switch contacts can also prevent the motor from running; disconnect power and clean the contacts.

What to do if Simer 3205C Water Pump motor runs hot and overload kicks off?
    • G
      Gabriel ElliottAug 19, 2025
If your Simer Water Pump motor runs hot and the overload protection activates, it could be due to: * Incorrect wiring. Refer to the wiring instructions to ensure it's properly connected. * Low voltage. Contact your power company to check the voltage supply. If the wire size is too small, install heavier wiring. * Too frequent pump cycles. Refer to the section about frequent cycling to address this issue.

What to do if my Simer Water Pump does not deliver water to full capacity?
    • K
      kristenlongAug 25, 2025
If your Simer Water Pump isn't delivering water to its full capacity, consider the following: * The water level in the well might be lower than expected, which may require a new nozzle and venturi combination. * Corroded or limed steel piping can cause excess friction; replace it with plastic pipe if possible, or new steel pipe. * Piping that is too small can restrict water flow; use larger diameter piping.

Why is my Simer 3205C spurting air from the faucets?
    • K
      Kathryn RushSep 1, 2025
Air spurts from the faucets connected to your Simer Water Pump can occur due to several reasons: * The pump may be in the process of picking up prime. Once primed, it should pump solid water without air. * There might be a leak in the suction side of the pump, causing air to be sucked in. Check joints for leaks using soapy water. * The well could be gaseous. Consult the factory about installing a sleeve in the well. * Intermittent over-pumping of the well, where the water is drawn down below the foot valve, can also cause air spurts. If possible, lower the foot valve; otherwise, restrict the pump discharge.

Why does my Simer 3205C deliver water but not shut off?
    • P
      perkinsmichaelNov 6, 2025
Your Simer Water Pump might not be shutting off due to several reasons: * The pressure switch may be out of adjustment or its contacts are welded together. In this case, disconnect power and adjust or replace the pressure switch. * Faucets might have been left open; ensure all faucets are closed. * The venturi, nozzle, or impeller could be clogged; clean these components. * The standard pressure tank may be waterlogged without an air cushion; drain the tank to the air volume control port and check for defects and air leaks. * Pipes or the foot valve may have leaks; check connections and replace the foot valve if necessary. * The air charge might be too low in the pre-charged tank. To fix this, disconnect the power, relieve pressure, and check/adjust the air pressure in the tan...

Why does my Simer Water Pump keep cycling too frequently?
    • T
      Tara PowersNov 15, 2025
If your Simer Water Pump cycles too frequently, it may be due to: * A pressure switch that is out of adjustment or has welded contacts. Disconnect the power and adjust or replace the pressure switch. * Open faucets. Make sure all faucets are completely closed. * A clogged venturi, nozzle, or impeller. Clean these parts to ensure proper function. * A waterlogged standard pressure tank lacking an air cushion. Drain the tank to the air volume control port, and inspect the AVC for any defects. Also, check all connections for air leaks. * Leaking pipes or a leaking foot valve. Inspect all pipe connections and replace the foot valve if it's leaking. * An insufficient air charge in a pre-charged tank. Disconnect power, relieve pressure, and use a tire pressure gauge to check the air ...

What to do if my Simer 3205C motor runs but no water is delivered?
    • J
      Joseph BryantNov 28, 2025
If your Simer Water Pump motor runs but no water is delivered, consider these possibilities: * In a new installation, the pump may not have picked up prime due to improper priming, air leaks, or a leaking foot valve or check valve. Re-prime according to instructions, check connections for air leaks, and replace the foot valve or check valve. * If already in use, the pump may have lost prime due to air leaks or a water level below the suction pipe inlet. Check connections and lower the suction line into the water to re-prime. If the water level is too low for a shallow well setup, a deep well pump may be needed. * The foot valve or strainer could be plugged. Clean the foot valve or strainer. * The ejector or impeller might be plugged; clean them. * A stuck check valve or foot val...
