  If your Simer Water Pump motor isn't running, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the disconnect switch is turned on. If it is on, check the fuse and replace it if it's blown, or reset the circuit breaker if it has tripped. A defective starting switch could also be the culprit, in which case you should disconnect the power and replace the starting switch. Also, inspect the wires at the motor for looseness, disconnections, or incorrect wiring, referring to the wiring instructions. Remember to disconnect power before checking and tightening any wiring. If the pressure switch contacts are dirty, disconnect the power and file the contacts with an emery board or nail file.

  If your Simer Water Pump isn't delivering water to its full capacity, it could be due to a few reasons. The water level in the well might be lower than estimated, potentially requiring a new nozzle and venturi combination. If you're using steel piping, it might be corroded or limed, causing excess friction; consider replacing it with plastic pipe where possible, or with new steel pipe. Also, the piping might be too small in size, so consider using larger piping.

Why is air spurting from the faucets when I use my Simer 3307P Water Pump?

  If you're experiencing air spurts from your faucets when using your Simer Water Pump, it could be due to several reasons. The pump might be in the process of picking up prime; once it does, it should pump solid water without air. A leak in the suction side of the pump can cause it to suck air, so check the joints for leaks using soapy water. If the well is gaseous, consult the factory about installing a sleeve in the well. Additionally, intermittent over-pumping of the well, where water is drawn down below the foot valve, can cause air spurts; lower the foot valve if possible, or restrict the pump discharge.
