Models
If
the
mower
belt
slips
or
fails
to
drive,
the
mower
belt
tension
may
need
adjustment.
To
check,
proceed
as
follows.
1.
P
lace
the
mower
in
high
cut,
using
height
control
lever.
Place
the
PTO
lever
in
engaged
position.
NOTE
In
the
following
steps,
refer
to
figure
33
for
the
42"
and
48"
mower
or
to
figure
34
for
the
36"
mower.
2.
Measure
the
distance
between
the
PTO
rod
guide
(A)
and
the
set
collar
(B).
The
distance
should
measure
as
shown
in
figure
33
or
34.
If
not,
proceed
to
step
3.
3.
Place
the
PTO
lever
in
disengaged
position.
4.
Loosen
the
setscrew
in
the
set
collar
(B).
Move
the
rod
forward
to
increase
gap,
or
backward
to
decrease
gap.
Retighten
the
setscrew.
5.
R
epeat
the
adjustment
as
necessary
until
the
distance
measures
as
shown
in
figure
33
or
34
with
the
PTO
lever
in
engaged
position.
6.
C
heck
the
adjustments
of
the
PTO
pulley
belt
stops
and
the
mower
belt
stops.
