OPERATOR SERVICING
6.1 GENERAL
6.1.1 The 460-4 is carefully designed and constructed with high
quality components. By providing reasonable care and following
the instructions in this manual the user can expect a long useful
service life from his instrument.
6.2. COVER REMOVAL
6.2.1 The bottom cover can be removed for maintenance pur-
poses by the following procedures:
Remove all power and connections to the Instrument
before removing the case cover. Do not operate the
Instrument with the bottom cover removed.
a. Depress the POWER switch to the OFF position.
b. Disconnect the line cord from the power source and all con-
nections from the Instrument. m
c. Pull out the knobs on the sides of the Instrument and raise
the handle towards the rear of Instrument.
d. Turn the Instrument over and remove the four screws within
the rubber feet.
e. Lift bottom cover and remove handle.
f. Reverse this procedure when replacing the cover.
6.3 BATTERY CARE:
a. Avoid discharging the cells completely. Check the battery volt-
