BATTERY
CHARGING
(460-4D
only):
a.
The
battery
is
being
charged
at
full
rate
when
the
POWER
switch
is
set
to
the
OFF
position
and
AC
power
is
applied
to
the
Instrument.
Approximately
16
hours
are
required
to
fully
charge
the
battery
in
this
mode
of
operation.
NOTE:
If
the
battery
voltage
checks
below
+4.7
volts,
charge
the
battery
with
the
POWER
switch
set
to
OFF
for
at
least
15
minutes
before
operating
the
Instrument.
b.
The
battery
is
being
“trickle”
charged
whenever
the
Instru-
ment
is
operated
by
the
AC
powerline.

FUSE
REPLACEMENT

The
line
and
current
fuses
are
mounted
inside
fuse
holders
on
the
main
P.C.
Board
as
shown
in
Figure
7-1.
Use
the
following
procedure
to
replace
a
fuse:

Remove
all
power
and
input
connections
to
the
Instru-
ment
before
removing
bottom
cover.
Do
NOT
replace
a
blown
fuse
with
a
fuse
which
has
a
larger
rating
or
slower
time
lag
characteristic
than
those
specified.
a.
Remove
bottom
cover
as
described
in
paragraph
6.2.
b.
Carefully
lift
the
defective
fuse
from
the
holder
and
replace
with
appropriate
fuse
(Table
7-2).
c.
Replace
the
bottom
cover.
