Identification
The failing belts bear the legend “DAVCO made in Italy” and have a distinct
“greenish” hue. The more flexible belts are yellow in colour and bear the legend
“863 SYNCHROFLEX AT 5/825”.
Implementation
To preserve the load capability, drive belts should only be replaced in the few
instances where the combination of spinning tolerance and belt type causes a
failure. On failure, green drive belts should be replaced by the yellow version.
Replacement belts will be supplied free of charge on request. Service Centres
should continue to report any failures by type and serial number to the Margate
Manufacturing Unit, Product Support Team.
