Preparethehembyfoldingitandpressingitintheusualway.
Youmaywanttobastethehemtoholditinplace,asshown.If
so,besuretoplacethebastingatleast12mmbelowthetop
edgeofthehemallowance.Withthewrongsideoffabric
uppermost,turnthehem under,asshown,creatingasoftfold
fromthetopedgeofhem.Pinorbasteallthreelayers
togetherinplace.
Positionthehemunderthepresserfootwiththesoftfold
restingagainstwalloftheguide,asshown.
•Lowerthepresserfootandbeginsewingmakingcertain
thestraightstitchesfallontheedgeofthehemandthe
zig-zagstitchesjustpiercethesoftfoldofthework.
Adjuststitchwidthifnecessary.Whilestitching,guidethe
hemedgeinastraightlineandfeedthesoftfoldevenly
againstthewalloftheguide.
•Iflayersoffabricarepinnedtogether,removepinsasyou
cometothem.Donotsewoverpins.
