POINT DE COQUILLE
Le point coquille est utilisé pour coudre et surjeter des tissus fins
en une seule opération. Il peut être employé pour réaliser un
ourlet en coquille sur la lingerie ou tous vêtements fins.
COUTURE ET SURJET EN UNE SEULE OPÉRATION
Placer l’endroit du tissu sous le pied de manière à ce que les
points s’effectuent sur la pliure.
SHELL STITCH
Shell stitch is for seaming and overcasting sheer, soft fabrics in
one operation. It also produces a delicate shell hem on lingerie
and other fine garments.
SEAM AND OVERCAST IN ONE
Place the right sides of the fabric to gether and position under the
presser foot so that the zig-zag part of the stitch sews just over the
raw edge.
SHELL TUCKS
Turn under the raw edge and press. Place the fabric right side up
so that the zigzag part of the stitch sews just over the folded edge,
pulling the fabric in to form a shell hem. Trim away excess fabric
close to the stitching line.
OURLET EN COQUILLE
Repliez le bord et faire un ourlet de 12 mm. Marquer le pli. Régler
la longueur de points au milieu de la zone verte. Placer l’endroit
du tissu sous le pied de manière à ce que le point se réalise sur la
pliure du tissu. Ceci tout en tirant le tissu pour lui donner la forme
d’une coquille. Couper le tissu au ras de la pliure.
