STRETCH STITCHES
Stretch stitches are mainly for use on knit, or stretchable fabrics, but can also be used on
ordinary materials.
POINTS EXTENSIBLE
Les points extensible sont généralement utilisés pour les tissus élastiques.
ADJUSTING STRETCH STITCH BALANCE
Stitch length/super (stretch) stitch control should be at S mark for most materials. Depending
upon the type of fabric used, you may need to adjust this Control to match forward stitches
of stretch sewing with reverse motion stitches. If the stitches are too open, turn the Control
to
+ position; if the stitches overlap, turn the Control to - position.
REGLAGE DE L’ÉQUILIBRE DES POINTS EXTENSIBLES
La commande de longueur de point/point super (extensibles) doit être placée sur le
repère S pour la plupart des tissus. Selon le type de tissu utilisé, il peut être nécessaire de
régler cette commande pour faire correspondre les points cousus en marche avant pour
la couture de points extensibles avec les points cousus en marche arrière. Si les points
sont trop ouverts, tourner la commande sur la position
- ; si les points se chevauchent,
tourner la commande sur la position +.

TRIPLE STRAIGHT STITCH
Triple straight stitch is far stronger than
ordinary straight stitch because it locks
three times
- forwards, backwards and
forwards.
It is particularly suitable for reinforcing the
seams of sportswear in stretch and non-
stretch fabrics, and for curved seams which
take a lot of strain.
Use this stitch also to top-stitch round
lapels, collars and cuffs to give a
professional finish to your garments.
POINT DROIT EXTENSIBLE
Ce point est beaucoup plus solide que le
point ordinaire, vu qu’il s’exécute en trois
fois, une fois en avant, une fois en arrière
et ecore une fois en avant.
Ce point spécial convient particulièrement
bien pour surpiquer les cols, poignets.
