Cleaning
Care of anti-leak valve
If coffee grounds clog the anti-leak valve, the valve
may not close and coffee may leak. Please clean up
after every use.
Fill the basket with water, then push up the anti-leak
valve two or three times to flush out any dirt.
Be careful not to pull the anti-leak valve too hard, as
it may come off.

Attach the spring-loaded anti-leak valve from
the bottom of the basket

Push the gasket onto the leak prevention valve
If it is difficult to attach the gasket using your fingers,
use a long, thin implement (e.g., a thick straw).

Cleaning inside the water tank
Fill the water tank to the “MAX” level with 40°C or
cooler water, add citric acid (approx. 20g) and let it
dissolve for approx. 12 hours.
Rinse well afterward.
Citric acid cleaning inside the main unit
Mineral elements (calcium, magnesium, iron, etc.) in
the water adhere to the inside of the unit during use.
This is called “water stain” and is not a hygienic
problem, but if the hot water flow becomes slow or it
takes a long time to brew, remove the stain by
cleaning with citric acid.
Notice
If water containing many minerals such as mineral
water or alkaline ionized water is used, the mineral
components are likely to adhere to the surface, so
clean with citric acid frequently.

Set the server on the warming plate

Fill the water tank to the 6-cup mark, add citric
acid (approx. 15 g) and dissolve

Attach the water tank and basket to the main
unit
Make sure that the MUG switching lever is in the
position (on the main unit side).

Set mode, size, course, and number of cups
Press the “MODE” button to set (grounds
mode).
Press the “SIZE” button for 120 ml
Press the “COURSE” button to set [HIGH TEMP]

When the brewing is finished, discard the hot water and
rinse the server well.

Dump the hot water from the server and refill
with water

To remove the smell of citric acid, repeat the
brewing two or three times with water only
