BREAK-IN
PERIOD
______
_
Engine
With Bombardier-Rotax snowmobile en-
gines, a break-in period
is
required be-
fore running the vehicle at full throttle.
Engine manufacturer's recommenda-
tion
is
10 to 15 operating hours. During
this period, maximum throttle should
not exceed 3/4, however, brief full ac-
celeration and speed variations contrib-
ute to a good break-in. Continued wide
open throttle accelerations, prolonged
cruising speeds, and engine
overhea_t-
ing
are
detrimental during the break-m
period.
