Oil sump top part - tightening torque and tightening order
Note
Replace screws which have been tightened firmly to a torqueing
angle.
– Tighten screws gradually in the given sequence:
Stage Bolts Tightening torque/torqueing angle
1. -1...19- by hand as far as the stop
1. -1…19- 8 Nm
2. -1…19-
90° (torque a further 90° (

Installation is carried out in the reverse order. When installing,
note the following:
Only vehicles with air conditioner
– Install AC compressor ⇒ Heating, Air Conditioning; Rep. gr.
87 .
Continued for all vehicles
– Fill with engine oil and check the oil level.

1.4 Removing and installing oil pump
Removing
– Disconnect battery ⇒ Electrical System; Rep. gr. 27 .
– Removing toothed belt ⇒ page 102 .
– Remove sump top part ⇒ page 132 .
– Unscrew the fixing screws -arrows- and remove the tensioning
device for Poly V-belt ⇒ page 49 .
– Remove alternator ⇒ Electrical System; Rep. gr. 27 .
– Removing gasket ring for crankshaft on belt pulley side
⇒ page 53 .
