3.1 SPEEDKEYSETUP
3.1.1 FirstGrpSpeedKeys
Whenenabled,thefirstgroupspeedkeyscausesthepress‐n‐holdofthe
keypaddigits1to9tobringuponthedisplaythecorrespondingmsetpage
fromthefirstgroup.Continuingtoholdthekeywilleventuallysendthetext
ordialthephonenumberofthatpage.The‘1’keypadkeycorrespondstothe
firstpageofthefirstgroup,the‘2’keypadkeytothesecondpageofthefirst
group,andsoon.Upto9pagesmaybeselectedinthismanner.
3.1.2 LastGrpSpeedKeys
Thelastgroupspeedkeysoperatesthesameasthefirstgroup,exceptthe
lastgroupoftheMSETisusedasasourceoftextand/ordialpagesforthe
speedkeys.Thispolicyismutually‐exclusivewiththefirstgroupspeedkey
policy–oneortheotherornonemaybeselected
3.1.3 FrequentPages
TheFrequentPagepolicyallowstheMMUIIusertosaveandassociateanyor
allofthekeys1thru9witheitheratextmessageordialpage.Bypressing
andholdingthekeywhileeditingapage,itisstoredwiththatkey.By
pressingandholdingthekeyelsewhere,itbringsupthestoredpageandthen
sendsit(ifatextmessage)ordialsthenumber.TheFrequentpagepolicyis
combinedwiththe“LastGrpSpeedKeys”policy;iftheMMUIIusertriesto
textorsendwithakeynotassociatedwithafrequentpage,thelastMSET
groupwillbeusedinstead.
3.2 SPEEDKEYOPERATION
Todialorsendaspeedkeypage,fromeitheranyMMUIIpagenotinan
editingmodeortheREADYpage,pressandholdthedesiredkey(assumekey
‘4’).Afterafewseconds,thedisplaywillshow“Speedkey‘4’in4secs”and
thencontinuethesecondscountdown.Atthe2secondpointinthe
countdown,theselectedpagewilldisplay.Atthispoint,youcanstop
pressingthekeythusabortingthetransmitordialofthatpage;thatpagewill
thenbeselectedforviewing,editing,andtransmit/sending.Moretypically,
thatkeymaybeheldthrutheentirecountdowntotransmitordialthepage.
Frequentusedpagesaretransmittedordialedinthesamemanner.When
