Setting
up
email
With
Sky
Broadband
you
have
been
given
an
email address,
which
is
easy
to
use
and memorable.
To
make
the
most
of
Sky
Broadband,
you'll
want
to
start using your email address the moment
you
can.
The
simplest
way
to
send and
receive
emails
is
by
going
to
skybroadband.com and logging
into
your email account.
Alternatively,
you
may
like
to
set
up
your
email
using
Outlook
Express
.
Setting
up
email
accounts
in
Outlook
Express
(Windows
XP)
1.
Open
Outlook
Express,
click
Tools
then select
Accounts.
2.
Click
the
Mail
tab, then
click
Add
and
select
Mail.
3.
The
Internet
Connection
Wizard
will
start.
Type
in
your
Display
Name
(this
sets the 'from' name
on
emails
you
send) then
click
Next.
4.
With
Sky
Broadband,
you
get
ten
email
addresses.
Enter
your
first
email
address
(e.g.
john.smith@sky.com)
in
lowercase letters,
with
no
spaces,
and
then
click
Next.
5.
Leave
My
incoming
mail
server
is
a
[POP3)
server
drop
down
box
as
POP3.
6.
In
Incoming
mail
server
enter:
pop.sky.com
(all
lowercase,
no
spaces).
7.
In
Outgoing
mail
(SMTP)
server
enter:
smtp.sky
.
com
(all
lowercase,
no
spaces).
8.
In
the
Account
name
box
enter the
first
part
of
your
@sky.com
email
address (everything
before
the@
sign).
9.
In
the
Password
box,
enter the password
for
your
@sky.com
email
account
(you
can
find
this
on
the
Welcome
Letter).
then
click
Next.
10.
Click
Finish
.
11.
To
complete the account creation
process
click
Tools
then
select
Accounts.
12.
Click
the
Mail
tab, then
click
Properties.

Click
the
My
server
requires
authentication
box
to
place
a
tick
inside.
Click
OK.
14.
Repeat
the
above
process
for
each
of
your
ten
@sky.com
email
accounts.
Note
:
You
will
not
be
able
to
use
your
Sky
email
via
either
webmoil
or
Outlook
Express
until
your
Sky
Broadband
line
has
been
activated
.
