1 GENERAL
1.1 INTRODUCTION
This publication provides technical information for the installation of the DVI-300. The DVI-300 when used in
conjunction with the CDP-300 provides an interface to read and send email messages, receive and answer
SatPhone calls, and display ISAT-200 parameters.
The DVI-300 along with the CDP-300 provides a rich interface for accessing the global voice and text
communications features of the SKYTRAC System’s Iridium based ISAT-200. This combined interface is referred
to as the CDU-300.
If you are operating in CDU-300 mode, refer to the DVI-300 Installation Manual (DOC0456) for details about
installation of the DVI-300.
1.2 CONTENTS
This manual contains procedures and other information for installing the DVI-300 system. This manual is divided
into the following sections:
Section 1 – General
This section contains a product overview and an overview of the contents of this manual. It also lists the ISAT-200
system components, for which installation procedures are included.
Section 2 — System Specifications
This section contains tables that list the power requirements and electrical specifications for the components of
the DVI-300 system.
Section 3 — Mechanical Installation
This section contains the procedures for the physical installation of the DVI-300 system components.
Section 4 —Electrical Installation
This section contains the information needed to complete the electrical connections to a DVI-300 system.
