6 Commissioning the Sunny Boy
1. Check the following requirements before commissioning:
– device is securely in place
– correct connection of the AC cable (grid)
– full connection of the DC cables (PV strings)
– unused DC plug connectors on the underside of the enclosure are sealed with protecting
caps
– the enclosure lid is securely screwed in place
– the Electronic Solar Switch (ESS) is securely plugged
– the line circuit breaker is laid out correctly
2. Switch on the line circuit breaker.
☑ The green LED is glowing or blinking if there is
enough radiation: commissioning has been
successful.
or:
☑ The red or yellow LED is glowing or blinking:
there has been an error. Proceed to step 3.
3. Read section 9 "Troubleshooting" (page36) and,
if necessary, the user manual provided. The
meaning of the LED's as well as the error messages
and status messages on the display are described
in this section.
