7 Commissioning
7.1 Commissioning Procedure
This section describes the commissioning procedure and gives an overview of the steps you must
perform in the prescribed order.

2. Establish a connection to the user interface of the inverter.
There are two connection options available to choose
from:
• Direct connection via WLAN
• Connection via Ethernet in the local network

3. Log into the user interface. see section7.4, page45
4. Select the inverter configuration option. Please note that
the personal SMAGridGuard code for changing the
grid-relevant parameters must be available after comple-
tion of the first ten feed-in hours or installation assistant
(see "Application for the SMAGridGuard code" avail-
able at www.SMA-Solar.com).

5. If necessary, set the parameters for voltage and frequency
monitoring.

6. Ensure that the country data set has been configured cor-
rectly.

7.2 Commissioning the Inverter
Requirements:
☐ A means of disconnecting the inverter from the PV array must be present.
☐ The AC circuit breaker must be correctly rated and mounted.
☐ The inverter must be correctly mounted.
☐ All cables must be correctly connected.
☐ Unused enclosure openings must be sealed tightly with sealing plugs.
