A. This ap pl iance does not have a pilot. It is
equipped with an ignition device which
automatically lights the burner. Do no t tr y
to light the burner by hand.
B. BEFORE OPERATING smell al l around
the appliance area for gas. Be sure to
smell next to the floor be cause some gas
is heavier th an ai r and will settle on the
floor.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS
• Do not try to light any appliance.
• Do not touch any electric switch; do
not use any phone in your building.
• Im mediately call your gas supplier from a
neighbor’ s phone. Follow the gas supplier ’s
instructions.
• If you cannot reach your gas supplier, call
th e fire department.
C. Use only your hand to move th e gas control
switch. Never use tools. If the switch will not
move by hand, do
n’ t try to repair it, call a
qualified service techni cian. Force or attempted
repair may result in a fi re or ex plosion.
D. Do not use th is appliance if any part has been
unde r wate r. Im mediately call a qualified
service techni cian to inspect the appliance and
to replace any part of the control system and
any gas control which has been under water.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. STOP! Read the safety information
above on this label.
2. Set the ther mostat to lowest setting.
3. Turn off all electric po wer to th e
appliance.
4. This appliance is equipped with an ignition
device which automatically ligh ts the
burner. Do not tr y to light the burner by
hand.
5. Remove front door.
6. Move switch to the “OFF” position.
7. Wait five (5) minutes to clear out any gas.
If you then smell gas, STOP! Foll ow “B”
in the safety inform ation above this label.
If you don’t smell gas, go to next step.
8. Move the switch to the “ON” position.
9. In stall front door.
10. Turn on all electric power to appliance.
11. Se t thermostat to desired setting.
12. If the appliance wi ll not operate, follow the
instructions “To Turn Off Gas To
Appl iance” and
call your service techni cian or gas supplier.
TO TURN OFF GAS TO AP PLIANCE
1. Set the ther mostat to lowest setting.
2. Turn off all electric po wer to th e applianc e
if service is to be performed.
3. Remove front door.
4. Move the switch to the “OFF” position.
5. In stall front door.
