Why is the flame yellow or orange on my Smoke hollow DG1100S?

  A yellow or orange flame on your Smoke hollow grill can be due to several reasons. If it's a new burner, it may have residual manufacturing oils; in this case, burn the grill for 15 minutes on “HIGH” with the lid closed. Another cause could be spider webs or insect nests in the venturi, so cleaning the venturi and burner assembly is recommended. Food residue or grease can also cause this issue, requiring you to clean the burner assembly. Finally, poor alignment of the valve to the burner venturi or an improperly adjusted air shutter can be the problem. Ensure the burner venturi is properly engaged with the regulator stem and that the air shutter is between 1/8”-1/4” for proper air and gas mixture; loosen the screw at the burner venturi to adjust.

  If the burner on your Smoke hollow grill won't light, several factors could be the cause. First, ensure the LP cylinder regulator knob is turned to the “Open” position and securely attached to the LP cylinder. Check if the LP cylinder is low or empty and replace if needed. If there's a gas leak, turn the LP cylinder regulator to “OFF”, wait 5 minutes, and follow the leak testing procedure. Also, make sure there isn't an obstruction of gas flow, and clean the burner venturi if needed. Other potential issues include the burner not being properly seated (reseat the burner and valve), spider webs or insect nests in the venturi (clean the venturi and burner assembly), clogged or blocked burner ports (clean the burner ports), cooking residue on the wires or electrode (clean with rubbing alcohol)...
