OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
Jump Start a Vehicle Engine
Refer to section: Display Messages
1. Make sure that the vehicle ignition is OFF.
2. Make sure that all cables and wires are clear of
moving engine parts such as pulleys, belts and fan
blades.
3. Plug the small plug of the EEJP200M-1A clamp set
into the Jump Start port on the engine starter. See
Figure 1.
4. For a negative-ground vehicle (as in most vehicles).
— Connect the engine starter’s POSITIVE (RED)
clamp to the POSITIVE (POS, P, +) battery post.
— Connect the NEGATIVE (BLACK) clamp to the
vehicle chassis or engine block, away from the
battery.
5. For a positive-ground vehicle,
— Connect the NEGATIVE (BLACK) clamp to the
NEGATIVE (NEG, N, -) battery post.
— Connect the POSITIVE (RED) clamp to the
vehicle chassis or engine block away from the
battery.
6. After proper connections have been made, press the
button with the engine icon on it. This will enable
Jump Start mode, if vehicle voltage is less than 1.5V.
Risk of explosive gases.
If you have connected the clamps backwards, an audio
alarm will sound, and the display will show CLAMPS
REVERSED- REMOVE CLAMPS.
Reverse the connections. Press the engine icon button
to turn the engine starter back on.
1. Crank the engine. If the engine does not start within
twelve (12) seconds, stop cranking and wait up to 30
seconds before attempting to start the vehicle again.
— The display will show RECOVERING xx SEC
REMAINING.
— When the display shows ENGINE START READY,
the engine starter is ready for use.
2. After the engine starts, press the Engine Start button
to turn the engine starter off. Disconnect the black
clamp (-) and then the red clamp (+), in that order.

The EEJP201MBK is a power source for most DC accessories
that are equipped with a 12V accessory plug.
✔ NOTE: Charging while operating a DC engine
starter (light, USB, memory saver) will extend
run time, but will also extend recharge time. If the
load exceeds 1A, it will discharge the battery.
1. Turn OFF the engine starter.
2. Insert the EEJP111M-4 12V DC accessory plug into
the 12V DC port (g). See Figure 1.
3. Plug the 12V port adaptor into the engine starter’s
12V output port.
4. Press the button on the engine starter, twice.
5. When finished, disconnect the engine starter.
— To turn ON the display, press any button.
— To turn OFF the 12V function, press the
button.
6. Immediately after use, unplug and recharge the
engine starter.
