Control Functions
Theinformation below briefly describes the function of individual controls. Starting, stopping, driving, and mowing require
the combined use of several controls appfied in specific sequences. Tolearn what combination and sequenceof controls to
use for various tasks seethe OPERATIONsection.
GroundSpeedLevers
Theselevers control the ground speed of the rider. The left
lever controls the left rear drive wheeland the right lever
controls the right rear drive wheel.
Moving a leverforward increasesthe FORWARDspeedof
the associatedwheel, and pulling back on a lever increases
the REVERSEspeed.
Note: Thefurther a lever is moved away from the neutral
position the faster the drive wheel will turn.

SeatAdjustmentLever
Theseat can be adjusted forward and back. Move the lever
towards the left, position the seat as desired, and releasethe
leverto lock the seat in position.
Ignition Switch
Theignition switch starts and stops the engine, it has three
positions:
Stops the engine and shuts off the
electrical system.
O RUN Allows the to and

the electrical system.
_!_ START Cranksthe engine for starting.
NOTE.Neverleave the ignition switch in the RUN position
with the enginestopped-this drains the battery.
