Do notattempttojumpstarta vehiclehavinga frozen
batterybecausethe batterymay ruptureorexplode. If
a frozenbatteryis suspected,examineall fill ventson
the battery.If icecanbe seen or ifthe electrolytefluid
cannotbe seen, donotattempttostartwith jumper
cablesas long asthe batteryremainsfrozen.
WARNING
Foryour personal safety, useextremecarewhenjump
starting.Neverexposebatterytoopenflame orelectric
spark- batteryactiongenerateshydrogengaswhichis
flammable andexplosive. Donot allow batteryacid to
contactskin, eyes,fabrics, or paintedsurfaces.
Batteriescontaina sulfuricacid solutionwhich can
causeseriouspersonalinjury or propertydamage.
Whenremovingor installing batterycables,disconnect
thenegativecable FIRSTandreconnectit LAST.If not
donein thisorder,thepositiveterminal can be shorted
totheframe by a tool.
Toavoidenginedamage, donotdisconnectbattery
while engineis running.Be sureterminal connections
are tightbeforestarting.
