Usage Features:

The C8L offers two distinct operation groups, allowing users to customize their experience.

Power Indicator:

The LED indicator in the side switch displays the power status for 5 seconds after turning the C8L on:

  • Green: Remaining battery power is good.
  • Red: Remaining battery power is poor (less than 30%).
  • Flashing Red: Critical power, requiring immediate battery replacement or recharge.

Recharging:

The flashlight features a USB-C port for convenient recharging. Connect it to the included USB-A to USB-C cable and use a 5V 2.5A (max) USB power adapter (not included). During charging, the LED power indicator flashes red. Once fully charged, the indicator turns green. A full charge for a 21700 4000mAh battery takes approximately three hours. While charging, the flashlight automatically turns off, but Eco mode can be activated with a single click.

Battery Installation:

Unscrew the tailcap to insert one 21700 battery or an 18650 battery (with an adapter sleeve) with the anode side (+) facing the head. Then, screw the tailcap back on.

Operation Instructions (Group 1):

  • Tail Switch:
    • Single press to turn the flashlight on or off.
    • While OFF, double-click to activate Turbo.
  • Side Switch (while ON):
    • Single-click to cycle through Eco-Low-Medium-High.
    • Double-click to activate Turbo.
    • Triple-click to activate Strobe.
    • On Strobe setting, double-click to cycle through Strobe-SOS-Beacon.
  • Side Switch (while OFF):
    • Hold the side switch and click the tail switch simultaneously to activate Eco.

Operation Instructions (Group 2):

  • Side Switch (while ON):
    • Single-click to cycle through Eco-Low-Medium-High.
    • Double-click to activate Strobe.
  • Tail Switch (while OFF):
    • Double-click to activate Strobe.

Switching Between Groups:

Press and hold the side switch for 3 seconds to toggle between Group 1 and Group 2.

  • LED flashes twice, turning on Eco, to indicate Group 1 setting.
  • LED flashes twice, turning on Turbo, to indicate Group 2 setting.

Safety Instructions:

  • Avoid pointing the flashlight directly at people, animals, or moving vehicles, as it can cause retinal damage.
  • Keep out of reach of children. Strobe mode may cause seizures in individuals with photosensitive epilepsy.
  • While charging, only Eco mode is available. Using the flashlight in other modes while charging is not recommended.
  • Operating in high-powered modes for extended periods will cause the flashlight to heat up, which is normal.
  • Ensure correct battery installation: the negative end of the battery should be visible at the tube's end before screwing the tailcap back on.
  • To prevent accidental activation during transport or standby battery drain, unscrew the tailcap by half a turn.
  • Avoid hitting or dropping the flashlight.

Maintenance Features:

  • Disassembly: Disassembling the sealed head can damage the flashlight and voids the warranty.
  • Batteries: Sofirn, Ltd. recommends using high-quality brand batteries. Damage from battery leakage voids the warranty.
  • Storage: Remove the battery if the flashlight will not be used for an extended period. To prevent accidental activation during storage or transportation, unscrew the head by half a turn or remove the battery.
  • Threads: Every 6 months, threads should be wiped with a clean cloth followed by a thin layer of silicone grease.
  • Waterproofness: To maintain proper waterproofness, replace worn-out O-rings with approved spares (two pieces are included with the initial order).
  • Troubleshooting: Regularly clean battery contacts, as dirty contacts can impair performance. If issues like flickering, intermittent shine, or failure to turn on occur:
    • Reason A (Battery needs replacement): Battery voltage is below 2.8V. Solution: Replace with an approved, fully charged battery.
    • Reason B (Dirty contacts): Threads, PCB board contact, or other contacts are dirty. Solution: Clean contact points with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol.
  • If these methods do not resolve the issue, refer to the warranty policy before contacting your authorized distributor.
