How to fix SolarEdge Key when it displays OV! XXXX.X?
    • B
      bwalkerJul 27, 2025
If your SolarEdge Key displays 'OV! XXXX.X', it means the string voltage exceeds the maximum allowed system voltage of 1000V. To resolve this, turn the SolarEdge Key OFF, disconnect the PV string, and check the PV module datasheet to ensure the number of connected modules doesn't exceed the 1000V limit.

What to do if number of power optimizers is less than connected in SolarEdge Key?
    • W
      wualexJul 31, 2025
If, after SafeDC disabling, the LCD display shows fewer power optimizers than connected in the string on your SolarEdge Adapter, there are two possible reasons: * One or more power optimizers are not properly connected. In this case, check the connections of all power optimizers and repeat SafeDC disabling. * One or more power optimizers are shaded or not receiving enough power during commissioning. In this case, repeat SafeDC disabling when all power optimizers have sufficient power and all PV modules are exposed to sunlight.

Why does SolarEdge Key Adapter display Failed after pressing SafeDC Enable?
    • M
      Melissa KochAug 4, 2025
If your SolarEdge Key displays 'Failed' after pressing SafeDC Enable, it indicates that one or more optimizers didn't communicate with the SolarEdge Key. Check the connections of all power optimizers and repeat the SafeDC enabling process. If the error continues, it is recommended to contact SolarEdge support.

What to do if SolarEdge Adapter displays Failed after pressing SafeDC Disable?
    • W
      William WatsonAug 8, 2025
If the SolarEdge Key displays 'Failed' after pressing SafeDC Disable, it means the PV string is too long. To fix this, connect up to 30 optimizers (not more than 1000V total) to the SolarEdge Key and repeat SafeDC disabling.

Why is string voltage higher than number of power optimizers in SolarEdge Key?
    • R
      Rhonda MyersAug 13, 2025
If, after enabling SafeDC on your SolarEdge Adapter, the string voltage is higher than the number of power optimizers in the string, it suggests that one or more power optimizers didn't turn to SafeDC due to insufficient power (shading or other reasons). Repeat SafeDC enabling when all power optimizers have sufficient power by ensuring all PV modules are exposed to sunlight.

      michaelmccoyAug 17, 2025
If the string voltage is lower than the number of power optimizers in the string after enabling SafeDC on your SolarEdge Adapter, it indicates that one or more optimizers are OFF, possibly due to insufficient power from shading or other factors. Repeat SafeDC enabling when all power optimizers receive sufficient power by ensuring all PV modules are exposed to sunlight.

What does Inv Vo mean on SolarEdge Adapter?
    • G
      George RobinsonAug 21, 2025
If your SolarEdge Key displays 'Inv Vo', it indicates negative string voltage, meaning the polarity is reversed. Refer to the SolarEdge Installation Manual for detailed instructions on how to correct this.
