Operate
the
unit
only
on
4.5

DC.
For
battery
operation,
use
three
size
AA
(R6)
batteries.
For
AC
operation
and
car
battery
operation,
use
accessories
recommended
for
the
unit.
Do
not
use
any
other
type.
¢
The
nameplate
indicating
operating
voltage,
etc.
is
located
on
the
rear.
¢
Do
not
leave
the
unit
in
a
location
near
a
heat
source
such
as
a
radiator
or
airduct,
or
in
a
place
subject
to
direct
sunlight,
excessive
dust,
mechanical
vibration
or
shock.
Use
the
unit
within
a
temperature
range
of
C
to
40°
C
(32°F
to
104’F).
If
it
is
used
in
temperatures
higher
than
this
range,
numbers
may
appear
on
the
frequency
which
have
nothing
to
do
with
the
frequency
being
received.
If
it
is
used
in
temperatures
lower
than
this
range,
the
numbers
displayed
may
change
very
slowly.
(These
irregularities
will
disappear
and
there
will
be
no
damage
to
the
unit
when
the
unit
is
used
in
its
recommended
temperature
range.)

on.

polarity
