1 Connect the audio cords.
See “Hooking up optional components” on
page 25.
2 Press VIDEO/MD on the unit to switch
the function to VIDEO or MD.
Start playing the connected component.
Note
If the sound is distorted or too loud when “VIDEO” is
selected or you want to switch back to “MD”, repeat
the operation described above to switch to “MD”.
Tip
If you cannot select “MD” by pressing VIDEO/MD
repeatedly, hold down VIDEO/MD and then press ?/1
while the power is on. The function will change from
“VIDEO” to “MD”, and “MD” will appear in the
display. To change back to “VIDEO”, repeat the same
procedure.
Making a digital recording
1 Connect the digital optical cord.
2 Start recording.
Refer to the operating instructions of
the connected component.
Note
You can digitally record from the discs only. However,
you cannot record from copy prohibited discs and MP3
audio tracks.
