Checking the total playing
time and titles (DVD/VIDEO
CD/CD/MP3/JPEG)
Press DISPLAY in stop mode.
Each time you press the button, the display
changes cyclically as follows:
x When a DVD/VIDEO CD/CD/MP3/JPEG is
in Normal Play mode
Elapsed total playing time of the current disc or
total album number of the disc
*1
or total track
number of the current album
*2
t Disc title

or
volume label
*4
or album name

t Clock
display (for eight seconds) t Effect status (for

Karaoke effect status

Depending on the DVD, the disc information may not
be displayed.
Tip
You can check the playing time of the disc using the
Control Menu (see “Viewing information about the
disc in the display” on page 54).
You can check the playing time and remaining
time of the current title, chapter, or track, and the
total playing time of the disc.
You can also check the DVD/CD text and file/
album name recorded on the disc.
1 Press DVD DISPLAY during play.
The Control Menu appears.
2 Press M or m repeatedly to select
“TIME”, then press ENTER.
3 Press DISPLAY to change the time
information.
The display and the kinds of time that you
can change depend on the disc you are
playing.
x When playing a DVD
