Setting
the
Still
Time.
If
the
pause
mode
is
held
for
more
than
about
5
minutes,
the
tape
around
the
head
drum
automatically
slackens
to
protect
the
video
head
and
the
tape
(factory
setting).
This
is
called
“long
pause
mode.”
You
can
set
the
still
time
from
the
menu.
Change
the
time
as
follows.

Set
the
CIL/MENU
switch
to
MENU.
The
settable
menu
items
appear
on
the
time
counter
block.

Press
the
ITEM
button
repeatedly
until
“Stt-**”
appears.

Press
the
DATA
button
repeatedly
to
display
the
desired
still
time.
