6. Using a flat blade screwdriver release door latch to open TAP door
7. Guide sensor cable around gear assembly so that it is clear and free
8. Carefully pry coupler stud away from TAP rail slider and lever arm of TAP door to
disengage end of lever arm from TAP assembly
9. Loosen three remaining captive screws on TAP door mounting panel
10. Lift TAP door mounting panel away from chassis while guiding sensor cable
through cutout on panel
11. TeraPacks directly adjacent to TAP assembly can be dislodged during service.
Prior to replacing front panel, verify these TeraPacks are properly
seated/positioned by ensuring that:
Neither side of a TeraPack is resting on top of a guide rail
TeraPacks are flush with end of guide rails. There are detents molded into
guide rails and bottom of TeraPacks to assist in positioning
o TeraPacks positioned too far into library can result in robotic movement
errors and/or damage to robotics or media
12. Firmly pull locking clip toward you until it disengages from screw
13. Rotate top edge of TAP assembly downward, then lift assembly up to disengage it
from mounting tab on chassis and remove from library
14. Remove chamber shelf below TAP area. Save shelf guides from shelf to install on
replacement shelf sent in TAP assembly kit
15. Install replacement shelf and three rightmost shelf guides
16. Install modified shelf guide that came in TAP assembly kit in leftmost position,
with notched end toward inside of library
17. Install replacement TAP assembly orienting locking clip to right and door latch
toward front
Angle top edge downward and slide into chassis so bottom edge fits between
guide rail and chassis and onto mounting tab on chassis
Rotate top edge of assembly upward until entire TAP assembly is flush against
chassis
