2.1 General description
T h e F T 1 4 i s a n S G i r o n b o d i e d b a l l o a t s t e a m t r a p h a v i n g s t a i n l e s s s t e e l w o r k i n g
internals and integral automatic air venting facility. It can be maintained without disturbing
the pipework and is supplied with either horizontal screwed or anged connections with ow
from right to left (R-L) or left to right (L-R). The screwed version is also available with vertical
connections (FT14V) with ow vertically downwards.
Capsule
The BP99/32 capsule which is used in the FT14 ball oat steam trap is suitable for use
on superheat.
Optional extras
A manually adjustable needle valve (designated 'C' on the nomenclature i.e. FT14-C) can be
tted to the trap. This option provides a steam lock release (SLR) feature in addition to the
standard air vent. For further information please consult Spirax Sarco.
Standards and certification
This product fully complies with the requirements of the Indian Boiler Regulations, 1950.
This product is available with a manufacturers’ Typical Test Report and IBR certication.
