2: 2nd Gear (4-speed)
The drive position prevents the transmission
from shifting into third or fourth gear.
Select drive range 2 for more power when
climbing hills, for engine braking effects
when driving down steep hills.
1: 1st Gear (4-speed)
The drive position for maximum braking
effect, e.g. when driving down severe gra-
dients; the transmission does not shift be-
yond first gear.
WARNING
The vehicle can move suddenly when
unattended.
•
Turn off the engine, apply the park-
ing brake fully and remove the ig-
nition key when leaving the
vehicle.
•
Do not use “P” (Park) position in
place of the parking brake.
•
Never leave the vehicle unattended
while the engine is running.

(5-speed automatic transmission)
CAUTION
Even the gear is in D position, your
vehicle can be moved back on the
uphill according to gradients, so you
have to depress the brake pedal.
