Overview

The Stamina 1405 ATS Air Rower is a home-use exercise machine designed to provide a full-body workout through rowing simulation. It utilizes an air resistance system to create a smooth and consistent rowing stroke, mimicking the feel of rowing on water. The device is intended for consumer use and not for institutional or commercial applications.

Function Description:

The core function of the 1405 Air Rower is to facilitate a low-impact, high-cardio workout that engages major muscle groups, including the legs, core, and upper body. The air resistance mechanism provides a dynamic workout where the resistance level adjusts with the intensity of your pull, meaning the harder you row, the more resistance you feel. This makes it suitable for users of varying fitness levels, from beginners to more experienced exercisers.

The rower features a comfortable, molded seat that glides smoothly along a rail, allowing for a full range of motion during the rowing stroke. The handlebars are designed for a secure grip, and the foot pedals include adjustable straps to keep your feet firmly in place during exercise.

A built-in fitness meter (console) is integrated into the design, providing real-time feedback on your workout. This meter tracks several key metrics to help you monitor your progress and stay motivated. These metrics typically include:

  • SPM (Strokes Per Minute): Displays the current number of strokes you are completing per minute.
  • COUNT: Shows the total number of rows taken during your current session.
  • DISTANCE: Measures the distance covered in miles.
  • SPEED: Indicates your current speed in miles per hour.
  • TIME: Tracks the duration of your workout in minutes and seconds.
  • CALORIES: Provides an estimate of the calories burned during the exercise.

The meter is designed to be user-friendly, with a single "MODE" button to cycle through the display functions. It automatically powers on with seat movement or a button press and shuts off after four minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life. All function values are retained when the meter shuts off, allowing you to pick up where you left off. A reset function is available by pressing and holding the MODE button for five seconds, clearing all current workout data.

The 1405 Air Rower also supports smart audio workouts through a dedicated app. Users can download the app from the App Store or Google Play by scanning a QR code, gaining access to guided audio workouts and an assembly video. This feature enhances the user experience by providing structured training programs and additional support.

Usage Features:

Before each use, it is crucial to ensure the rower is properly assembled and all bolts and nuts are securely tightened. The device should be set up on a solid, level surface, and adequate space must be available around it for safe operation. Children and pets should be kept away from the equipment during use.

The rower is designed for a maximum user weight of 250 lbs and should only be used by one person at a time. Users are advised to wear proper footwear with non-skid soles and avoid loose or dangling clothing to prevent entanglement. Maintaining balance during mounting, dismounting, and use is essential to prevent falls and potential injury.

The seat carriage is equipped with rollers that allow for smooth movement along the rail. If the seat feels difficult to slide or rocks, adjustments can be made to the Nylock Nuts on the seat carriage to lower or raise the roller position, ensuring optimal seat travel.

For storage, the 1405 Air Rower features a folding design. The fan assembly can be folded backward towards the rail, and the support frame can be locked into position with a locking knob and pull pin. This compact storage solution makes it convenient for users with limited space. When moving the rower, users should grasp the rear stand and utilize the moving wheels on the front stand, avoiding moving it by the seat to prevent pinching hands or fingers.

Regular exercise with the 1405 Air Rower should be part of a well-planned fitness program, ideally developed in consultation with a physician, especially for individuals over 35, those new to exercise, pregnant individuals, or those with pre-existing health conditions. Monitoring heart rate during workouts is recommended to ensure exercise intensity is within the target zone, typically 60% to 90% of maximum heart rate for aerobic benefits. A warm-up before and a cool-down after each session are also crucial for injury prevention and overall fitness.

Maintenance Features:

Maintaining the 1405 Air Rower is essential for its safety, integrity, and longevity. Regular inspections and cleaning are recommended.

Key maintenance tasks include:

  • Pre-Use Inspection: Before each use, inspect the rower for any worn or loose components. Ensure all bolts and nuts are securely tightened. The SUPPORT FRAME(4) must be secure, with the LOCKING KNOB(44) inserted and tightened into the RAIL(1).
  • Functionality Check: Verify that the Fan System provides adequate resistance and that the seat travels smoothly and stably along the rail.
  • Cleaning: Keep the rower clean by wiping it off with an absorbent cloth after each use. Pay special attention to cleaning the roller tracks on the RAIL(1) to ensure smooth seat movement.
  • Label Verification: Confirm that the CAUTION LABEL(93) is in place and easy to read. If it is missing or damaged, a replacement should be ordered from Stamina Products.
  • Component Replacement: Any worn or damaged components must be replaced immediately. The rower should be removed from service until repairs are made. Only components supplied by Stamina Products should be used for maintenance and repair.
  • Battery Management: If storing the 1405 Air Rower for one year or more, remove the batteries from the fitness meter to prevent damage to the electronics. When replacing batteries, use two AA 1.5V batteries, ensuring not to mix new with old, or alkaline with other types. Rechargeable batteries are not recommended. Proper disposal of batteries according to state and federal regulations is advised.

The owner is solely responsible for ensuring that regular maintenance is performed. Adherence to these maintenance guidelines will help ensure the continued safe and effective operation of the 1405 Air Rower.
