This document describes the Stanley Indoor Remote Control, model BNC-60/U116R, which consists of a receiver and a remote control for operating indoor appliances.
Function Description
The Stanley Indoor Remote Control system allows users to wirelessly control an appliance plugged into the receiver. The receiver plugs into a standard grounded outlet, and the appliance then plugs into the receiver. The remote control, powered by a 12V/23A battery, features ON/OFF buttons to toggle the power to the connected appliance. The system is pre-programmed for immediate use, but its configuration can be customized to meet specific needs. The receiver also has a "learning and ON/OFF" button for programming and resetting the unit.

Usage Features
Setup:
- Install Battery: Insert one 12V/23A battery into the remote control's battery compartment, ensuring correct polarity.

- Connect Appliance: Plug your device or appliance into the grounded outlet on the receiver.

Programming (Customization):

- Remove and Re-plug Receiver: Unplug the receiver from the power socket, then plug it back in.
- Enter Learning Mode: Press and hold the "learning and ON/OFF" button on the receiver until its indicator light starts to flash.
- Pair with Remote: Release the "learning and ON/OFF" button on the receiver. Then, press and hold the corresponding "ON" button on the remote control until you hear a click.
- Confirmation: The indicator light on the receiver will stop flashing, indicating successful pairing.
Resetting the Receiver:
If you wish to unpair a receiver from the remote or if the unit becomes unresponsive, you can reset it.
- Remove Receiver: Unplug the receiver from the power socket.
- Press and Hold Button: Press and hold the "learning and ON/OFF" button on the receiver.
- Re-plug While Holding: While still holding the button, plug the receiver back into the power socket and wait for the indicator light to flash.
- Release Button: Once the indicator stops flashing, you may release the button. The reset process is complete.
- Reprogram: You can program the outlet again after resetting.
Troubleshooting:
If the receiver does not respond to the remote control, follow these steps:
- Check Remote Battery: Verify if the remote control's battery is low and needs replacement.
- Receiver Placement: Ensure the receiver is correctly plugged into the power socket.
- Air Circulation: Make sure the receiver is used in an area with proper air circulation to prevent overheating.
- Reset and Program: Reset and reprogram the unit as described above.

- Second or Third Year: Units failing during the second or third year from the date of purchase must be shipped prepaid with proof of purchase to The NCC for replacement.

- Replacement: For warranty replacement, the unit must have been purchased from an authorized reseller.
