offlineandpresstheTESTbuttontoprintastatussheet.Yourprinterwill
beepandshowa front-panelmessageif youtryto overloadits memory
by downloadingtoomanyfonts.It then willcontinueprintingwiththe
closestavailablefontto thatrequested.
Asageneralrule,youcanincludeatleastadozendowrdoadablcfontsin
adocument.Addedtotheinternalfonts,thatshouldbeplenty—itdoesn’t
make good design sense to mix many typefaces.A telltale sign of
amateurishlaserprintingis toomanyfontsin onedocument.
To keep a widevarietyof extrafontsin memory,however,many Star
LascrPrintcr8 users(especiallythosesharingtheprinteron a network)
preferto addtheoptionalboardwiththesecondmegabyteof RAM.
