bottommargin= pagelength- (topmargin+ textlength).
Thebottommarginis calledthe“perforationregion”withprintemthatuse
continuousforms.Younormallywantto skiptheperforationsbetweenthe
continuouspages,but sometimesyoudon’t(for examplewhenyou print
labels).
Thoughyoulikelywon’toftenwanttodo it,theStarLaserPrinter8willlet
youcompletelyignorethebottommargintoo.If youchoosetoprintbelow
thebottommargin,rememberthatyoumightlosewordsorgraphicsin the
unprintableregionattheedgeof thepage.Thecommandlookslikethis:

Ifyouwantto allowprintingbelowthebottommargin,for n enterO(zero).
Butif youwantto forbidprintingbelowthe margin,whichis thedefault,
enter 1(one).
In Laserjetmode, you can tell the printer whetheryou want to print in
simplexorduplexmode,andalsotodefineshort-orlong-egeprinting.The
commandto do thisis:

ASCIInumberwhichmaybeeither’’O”,“l’’or’’2”.Ifnis“O”,simplexmode

modewillbeselectedforthenextpage—” 1“selectinglong-edgebinding,
and“2”selectingshort-edgebinding(regardlessof pageorientation).Any
othervalueswillbe ignored.
