Parameter setting CPAP backup ventilation
CPAP can be combined with backup
ventilation. The user can set the maximum
desired apnea duration in the „Apnea“ field.
If there is no spontaneous breathing during
this time, the ventilator begins mandatory
ventilation using the preset parameters.
The parameter settings for backup ventilation
are comparable to PC-SIMV ventilation.
