tion you need to take is described step by step.
[MENU...] Square brackets around a text that starts with MENU
specify the position of a parameter in the menu tree. Example:
[MENU/VENTILATION/PARAMETERS]. This means you press MENU,
then enter submenu
VENTILATION and there enter submenu
PARAMETER. In addition, a parameter number is specified if the
parameter has been assigned a number. Example: P78

All measurements are given in mm unless stated oth-
erwise.
2. Safety
2.1 Intended use
The appliance is a complete system with heat recovery for cen-
tralised ventilation and extraction, as well as for centralised DHW
heating and central heating.
The appliance is intended for domestic use, i.e. it can be used
safely by untrained persons. The appliance can also be used in a
non-domestic environment, e.g. in a small business, as long as it
is used in the same way.
Any other use beyond that described shall be deemed inappro-
priate. Observation of these instructions is also part of the correct
use of this appliance. Any modifications or conversions to the
appliance void all warranty rights.
2.2 Safety instructions
Observe the following safety instructions and regulations.
All steps up to the complete commissioning of this appliance must
only be carried out by qualified contractors.
The qualified contractor is responsible for adherence to all current-
ly applicable instructions during installation and commissioning.
Operate the appliance only when fully installed and with all safety
equipment fitted.
Check the supply air and extract air filters regularly for contam-
ination.
Never adjust the ventilation and extract air valves inside the
rooms. These have been adjusted during commissioning.
Never make any modifications to the internal equipment electrics
or controls.
WARNING Electrocution
Never splash the appliance with water or other liquids.
WARNING Burns
There is a risk of scalding at outlet temperatures in ex-
cess of 43 °C.

WARNING Injury
The appliance may be used by children aged 8 and up and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capa-
bilities or a lack of experience and know-how, provided
that they are supervised or they have been instructed on
how to use the appliance safely and have understood
the resulting risks. Children must never play with the
appliance. Children must never clean the appliance or
perform user maintenance unless they are supervised.
Note
If there is a radio or police announcement ordering win-
dows and doors to be kept closed, simply select fan stage
"0" (= fan off) for several hours.
The programming unit must be activated if the appliance
has been out of operation for a long time:
f Hold down MENU for five seconds.
f In the case of you having already navigated through
the menu tree, pressing MENU will return you to
the default display. If necessary you may have to
press menu several times.
f Slide your finger along the scroll wheel until you
reach the FAN STAGES entry.
f Press OK.
f Press OK again to adjust the parameter
UNSCHED-
ULED VENT.
f Set parameter UNSCHEDULED VENT. to 0, by slid-
ing your finger anti-clockwise over the scroll wheel.
f Confirm with OK.
f Set parameter UNSCHED. VENT TIME 0 to a suit-
able value.
Note
Do not change any system-specific settings at the control
unit. Your contractor has set the control unit to match
the local conditions for your building and your individual
requirements. The system-specific parameters are pro-
tected by a code to prevent unintentional modifications.
The parameters that serve to adapt the appliance to your
personal requirements are not protected by a code.
2.3 CE designation
The CE designation shows that the appliance meets all essential
requirements according to the:
- Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive
- Low Voltage Directive

3. Appliance description
Heat is recovered from the extract air by means of a highly effi-
cient cross-countercurrent heat exchanger and an air|water heat
pump. In addition, heat is extracted from the outdoor air. This
energy, efficiently made available by the heat pump, is channelled
to the central heating or DHW system. The cooled air is discharged
outdoors.
When the temperature is very low, or when there is a very high
heat demand, the appliance covers the residual heat demand by
means of an integral electric emergency/booster heater. If the
dual mode point is undershot in mono mode operation, the elec-
