Versions with Easy2Start (BR 800 C)
N Pull the starter rope steadily with
your right hand, allow it to rewind
and continue pulling until the engine
fires.
N Do not pull out the starter rope all
the way – it might otherwise break.
N Do not let the starter grip snap back.
Guide it slowly back into the housing
so that the starter rope can rewind
properly.
Versions without Easy2Start (BR 800 X)
N Pull the starter grip slowly with your
right hand until you feel it engage
and then give it a brisk strong pull.
N Do not pull out the starter rope all
the way – it might otherwise break.
N Do not let the starter grip snap back.
Guide it slowly back into the housing
so that the starter rope can rewind
properly.
When engine begins to start
If the engine is cold:
N Move the choke knob to o and
continue cranking until the engine
runs.
If the engine is warm:
N continue cranking until the engine
runs.
As soon as the engine runs
N Blip the throttle trigger (2) – the
choke knob automatically returns to
“F”
or
N Turn the choke knob to “F”.
The engine settles down to idling speed.
At very low outside temperatures
N Allow engine to run in the cold start
position c until it almost stalls.
N If the engine stalls in the cold start
position c, turn the choke knob to
o and restart the engine.
Stopping the Engine
N Push the setting lever in the
direction of “†” – the engine stops –
the setting lever then springs back
automatically.
After short work breaks (BR 800 C)
If the blower was running and the engine
shut off, it can be restarted on your back.
