: Put the unit on the ground. Make
sure it is secure.
: Remove the transport guard from
the cutting attachment.
: Keep the flexible shaft as straight as
possible so that the guard on the
control handle and the cutting
attachment deflector are resting on
the ground.
Make sure the throttle cable is
positioned parallel to the flexible
shaft and not wrapped around it.
Check that the cutting attachment is
not touching the ground or any other
object.
: Make sure you have a firm footing:
Hold the unit steady with your left
hand on the shroud and put one foot
on the frame and press down.
: Pull the starter rope slowly with your
right hand until you feel it engage
and then give it a brisk strong pull.
Do not pull out the starter rope all
the way – it might otherwise break.
: Do not let the starter grip snap back
– guide it slowly into the housing so
that the starter rope can rewind
properly.
When the engine begines to fire:
: Set the choke knob to e.
: Press button of decompression
valve again.
: Continue cranking.
: As soon as the engine runs, blip the
throttle trigger (2) so that the slide
control (3) moves to the normal run
position # and the engine settles
down to idle speed.
Make sure the carburetor is
correctly adjusted – the cutting
attachment must not rotate when
the engine is idling
Your machine is now ready for
operation.
