Maintenance Features

Maintaining the FSA 30.0 is straightforward with specific guidelines:

  • Cleaning:
    • The brushcutter, deflector, cutting attachment, battery, and charger should be cleaned with a damp cloth or soft brush.
    • Foreign objects should be removed from the battery compartment, and electrical contacts cleaned with a paintbrush or soft brush.
    • The area underneath the fanwheel should be cleaned with a soft brush.
  • Battery Storage: STIHL recommends storing the battery in a charging state between 40% and 60% (indicated by 2 lit green LEDs) in a clean, dry, enclosed space, out of reach of children, and separated from the brushcutter.
  • Charger Storage: The charger should be stored in a clean, dry, enclosed space, out of reach of children, with the connecting cable wound up and attached to the charger.
  • Blade Maintenance: Blades should be placed in water for 12 to 24 hours before use to make them supple. Worn or damaged blades must be replaced.
